Well,
All I can say is that for the last 6.5 years this tank has been tons of fun. I have learned alot, and will be taking a break for a while due to a broken heart that needs to be overcome.

Jim,

I can't believe it. I know what your going through though. All as it takes is a power outage, power spike, pump going bad, or a chiller malfunction and you can loose your tank. I had a lot less riding on my wallet when I had the Rio burn up and all of my fish died except for the clown & anemone.

You had one beautiful tank. I only wish I got down to see it in the past year.

Are you sure you want to sell everything??

I'm so sorry for your losses. It gets easier with time....

Many of us have had a crash or a setback because of some unforeseen weakness in our system design. You may wish to reconsider selling all your equipment and enduring a second financial loss. Your tank was truly a work of art and very beautiful. Maybe you can stabilize your existing setup and rebuild. Even better this time. Some redundancy or a paging device. You already have the skills and the equipment. P/U a few frags... a little time... and you can again enjoy your efforts. I will frag my frog-spawn as a starter. Not much but its a start. Maybe other MR members can donate a frag here and there. Just a thought!

94 degree!!!...man those mh's got real hot. i'm sorry for your loss. like many others have said, perhaps sleep over the decision to rid everything for a few days. you may want to rebuild. i can't say i had such a devastating loss but i recently had a black out and lost some livestock...not a total loss but just as heart breaking. i miss my 10-12" squamosa clam i had for over 4-5 yrs.

The Hardest part / time of my system crash was cleaning it all up and getting it ready for sale. I am glad I didnt sell everything. My system is still only a fraction of what it once was. I have realized that it was the building and setup and collecting of the early days of my tank that had really hooked me on this hobby.

I am not glad my system crashed and I still miss some of the thing I will proobly never get to replace. I am verry thankfull my wife talked me out of quitting. although im not sure if she doesnt regret that alittle..

I did verry much enjoy doing it all over the second time. It is coming out better this time. Definetly think it over for a few days.

I also would be happy to send some frags your way.
