Yeah I know, the foam should be placed under the entire sump but I don't have enough and I don't want to order more. I'll think about it, I was already concerned a little and I haven't done it yet. The pump is connected by about a foot of black hose, but its still vibrating thru. Maybe I can post some pics later. I haven't really tried to work on it yet because I've been busy with other stuff.

walk over to the rubber store on canal street, I don't remember the name, but they sell every kind of rubber mat made.

don't do just the corner, that is bad for the sump, and your floor, neighbors, etc, ;)

when you say place foam under the corner of the sump, I'm not sure what you mean. if anything is placed under the sump it should be the entire footprint.

I think a clear hose coupler will solve the vibration coming from the pump.
ronen showed us this at nycmatt's house this weekend. clear tubing coming from the pump and connecting to the rigid pvc with hose connectors and clamps will stop any vibrations from traveling along the return line.
I had same problem I used Spa flex instead of clear tube.
I just picked up 12' of the braded clear PVC from Lowes to plumb my O3 reactor if i ever finish it. been feeling under weather for a better word havent done much of anything

I used spaflex as well, but I did not use it to stop vibrations. it has some flex but do you think it has enough to stop vibrations?

I felt sick today as well, I had to spray kitchen doors all day, wearing a respirator for five hours did not my cold :(
