I would also recommend a couple of SPS coral from the Seriatopora family. If they hold their color a grow well, then you should be ready for some acros.
kev, you still work sundays at MA? if so im going to try to stop by some time soon, and maybe you can point me in the right direction for cheap/simple/easy/basic SPS frags. ill give it a try with some new ones. but not til temp is set.
IME when i keep anemones lps, zoas i notice that sps doesnt last.
Leathers and Anemones are known to pollute the water with chemical warefare. I dont even keep leathers with my anemones.
also this tank hasnt been set up that long which would be my first look, and what are you using to dip the corals ? do you graph your temp through out the day with a controller ? if not then there is no way of knowing that your temp truelly stays in that range
You still didnt answer the question about your photo period . How long do you keep your lights on , If there on for a long period thay will bleach out your sps and stunt their growth.
Yes, in the 11th post I did, at the bottom
Ok didnt see that. I see your problem your running your daylights to long 7 to 8 hours a day thats not good for sps 5 hour of daylight and 12 hours of blues try this and thay wont bleach out.
oh really? ok. i can adjust. ill see how that goes. thanks. whats your light cycle?
Batt600, the SPS guru. Lol... Five hours for day light cycle. I guess you haven't been to any public aquariums where they've reef tanks.
How about ReefBum's tank, can you remember his light cycle ? Well then, here's a reminder. And don't tell me your LED fixture is more powerful then his Metal Halides.
