first...the BAD NEWS...my beautiful XXXL 24" RBTA is NO MORE! I moved him to the new tank a few days ago (without his YS maroon clown) and the stress was too much...the GOOD NEWS...NOW I have 2 XL 12" RBTAs

Here is some pics of rear wall base rock..may be hard to tell, but these are 20-30+ lb. rocks...alot of fun to place in a 27" deep tank, while standing on a step stool!

sorry to hear about the rbta??? not the huge one it used to be but eventually you may have two xxxxl one's.
i hear you on the 27" depth....i have two pieces of 42 and 39lbs....took 3 people on ladders to put them in safely.
i'm assuming those plexi-legs are drilled and glued into the rocks?
what are the average depths into the rocks?
will they be strong enough to withstand the stress/strain over time?
i may want to do that but....that means ripping everything apart....hmmm.

legs are drilled and epoxied...average less than 2" into rock...most of the rocks were done 6 years ago, for my other tanks...so, YES, they will be fine, over time
here's a few more pics, of rear wall...mostly softies...last pic is the twins

Don't Rub It In! The water is coming...I've already been warned by the Mods...if I don't have water by 25,000 views, they'll move my thread to the "EMPTY TANK" forum! :Yikes:

.

Not for nothing but you were really pushing the envelope on this...lol
Hmmm 25,234 as of tonight..by the skin of your teeth Alf!

Love the little feetsies on the rock, yes you have WAY too many corals, and congrats on the new Twins :)

Heck of a build! When is the tank opening party? ;)

hey alfie,
got room for another xl (14-16-18????) rbta and a 4"?? melanopus clown ? after a year of staying put, this past week she moseyed around to 3 different locations and the path of destruction ensued. the tenuis, setosa, orange digi, duncan, and froggies were the victims of the assault with a deadly chemical weapon....lol.
if you have room for them, i will attempt to dislodge her.....she hovers around an area that should not be too difficult to reach.
i'll snap their pics when the lights come on. she's been in a 200 gal. display with 2x400 20k xm's and 2x110 vho actinics. i don't feed her, the melnopus does that. i will deliver them to you.
plmk thanks, tom
