I finally got a chance to see the famous "Katonah Reef" and was well worth the drive...absolutely beautiful system. On the island we had Tony's 450 for a few years and Atlantis Marine World ... Westchester has the Katonah Reef! The best of luck with it Alfie.

Yeah, Doc, great fish, got a great deal in Brooklyn on him...he constantly 'displays' for my female flames!...hard to tell from pic, but there is also a beautiful blue coloration in the tail.

Thanks Mike, glad you enjoyed it...can't wait to see your new tank!

Alfie,
How did you make out with the storms Wednesday and Saturday night, My power was out both days for quite a while. How about you?
Jim C.
I lost power for about 4 hours, on Weds., no problems on Saturday... luckily I was home, so I was able to switch the main pump over to the generator, hadn't set up new tank for that, yet...so I corrected that problem this weekend! Plumbed in new Hammerhead pump, which allowed me to eliminate 4 additional pumps (chiller, skimmer, frag tank and reactor), much better for power outages, and less heat without all those submersible pumps. How's your tank doing...frags growing?

Frags are doing well, the Montipora has grown a bunch. I have been testing my water parameters, and tweaking them a bit, and by end of next month, I should be ready to start ramping up on coral being introduced in my system.

here is the Ocean Motion setup, under the tank, with 2 returns, behind the rockwork and 2 eductors aimed cross-tank, corner to corner. Don't worry, not finished with wiring, either.

Any updates?
Not much new...a few more members stopped by to see set-up...I think they approved!
Need to decide exactly what corals and fish to keep in tank. Maybe this weekend, I will move around some of the colonies. Got to sell off all my extra fish, corals, LR, and equipment, so I can finish up basement/fish room. Hope to start posting it, in a week or so.
