Next Reef SMR1 - parts?

Folks,

I have one of these and the top broke. The company is out of operation and I am looking for a replacement lid -

if anyone has one of these, and would like to trade something? I'm in. Please - otherwise I need a new pellet reactor.

How did it break can you use weldon and repair it?

I accidentally stripped the threads on the lid ( by overtightening the threaded elbow, 'cause it was leaking) I've tried to glue with Craftics #33 the two elbows onto the lid - still some leakage. next try, drill the holes larger, fit pvc slip-fitted elbows (slip to barb) with PVC cement.

ugh. I hate these things that have fumes. you might recall - I have a parrot, and they are very sensitive to fumes.

go to home depot or any hardware store and get some clear silicone and apply it around the fitting, it will stop the leak. as far as cutting your plexiglass all you need is a circular saw and you can cut it.good luck.

IMO you should really consider getting different reactors

I had the SMR1 XL for some time and they're such a pain in the *** to clean and handle compared to something like a TFL reactor

I didn't even know the company went out, but that's more reason to consider something else

julian doesn't recommend his TLF for biopellets. hmmm
