Those of you that have been following social media have undoubtedly heard the amazingly good news that the Indonesian Coral Ban is being lifted. What does it mean? To get a lot of questions answered, I got together with Chris Meckley of ACI Aquaculture who has been in Indonesia during the ban, spending time with Vincent Chalias as well as other farms and divers to learn about it first hand; he also experienced the severely devastating effects of the Indo ban on our industry. As Chris got the first boxes of Bali Aquarium’s maricultured Acroporas in United States, we sat down, reflected, and talked about this.
