Reefs.com Afishionado Scholarship : Harry Singer

First of all, sorry for the late update on my full length videos!

I have been focusing on my articles and small videos that I haven’t had chance to catch up with my regular video works.

To kick start 2020, I wanted to do something a little different. Those of you that follow my work know that I am very active in my local community, helping children learn and develop their interest in, and love and awareness of marine animals and our oceans. This year, I want to do more! I want to create a scholarship program to help bright young minds achieve their goals more effectively and with ease.

Why?
Don’t you love creative young minds that think outside the box to achieve something extraordinary? For us older folks, we can all relate to a time that funds hels us back from doing things correctly or effectively and as one can imagine, it’s much more evident in students’ shoestring budget systems. It is my hope that to preserve and nurture the younger generation’s passion for the hobby and for our oceans, and to help them become the next Julian Sprung, Richard Ross, and other reefing greats, and be our champion for the hobby as well as our oceans.

Getting down to the business, I have been following my young friend Harry Singer’s work for quite some time now and saw his struggles of making his experiments perform the way that he wanted to do. Noticing what he needed, I visited my good friends and amazing manufacturer, sicce USA, and we got everything situated for Harry. Thank you again to Steve Berlin and David Owens for believing in the work that I do and sharing the same vision in growing and nurturing future talents.

Once again, huge congrats Harry on becoming the first Afishionado Scholarship recipient!

Check out what Harry is up to tell us what you think of his work!

Enjoy!
