As quoted on the sheet inside:
Corals spend energy for respiration, mucus production, growth and reproduction. Research has shown that the total energy demand cannot be met by photosynthesis alone. If we also consider that, through highly efficient protein skimming and fine mechanical filtration, we clear almost all organic molecules and particulate matter from our systems. Given this, we can immediately realize that the availability of nourishment inside our aquarium often becomes one of the limiting factors for the growth or our corals. If we want to supply our corals the additional energy they need to survive and even better, flourish, we must offer them nourishment via a multitude of sources like amino acids, zooplankton and, in general DOM (Dissolved Organic Matter) that can be transported through cell membranes.
Elos Pro Skimmer supplies complex carbohydrate, which provide an immediate source of energy for cellular respiration as well as an important energy source beneficial for a faster biosynthesis of amino acids.

To sum the rest of it up it says that it should be used in conjunction with Elos OMEGA to significantly reduce the need of live food and DOM.

I obviously have no affiliation with any of these companies but i do use and own it and had it handy to type this to you. Hope it helps!

Oh okay I'll just be using the aminos and feed my fish a little more as I do have 4 acantherus tangs, a black tang and a orange spotted rabbit.. So feeding them pretty good should give me a little phosphates and food for the corals as well.

Tobin, i would not use the elos more the 3 times a week. Start 2x a week and never dose more then half the recommended dosage. after a few Weeks you could do 3x a week at half the dosage and you should be fine. If your corals start to look too dark then discontinue use for two to three weeks and reduce the dosage when you start. By the way i also use this product. I have a 600gal system and dose 12 drops 3x a week

I don't have the Red Planet yet but everything I've read elsewhere says its very light sensitive. Too much light seems to bring out the red and eliminate the green. I keep hearing of people moving it lower in their tanks to hold on to the green.

There isnt a need to turn the skimmer off according to the bottles but it can't hurt. I think it's funny that in this thread of people using them we all have the Red Planet!! Mine is midway in the tank and it is completely red. I haven't had green since i brought it home. I thought it was bleaching at first but it hasn't been moved since i got it and it's almost completely brick red now. I think it looks better like that.

If you would like some green you would just have to lower it and shade it a bit and the green will come back but it won't be as red...

Mine has been in the shade from day one right in the middle and don't forget I have the rail system so it's getting less light than anyone in theory only.. It stayed that deep green the first 2month's I got it then when my phosphates dropped to 0 for a while(now 2weeks), it changed...
