thanx guys! i cant wait for water as well.. this project took a lot out of me.. knocking down walls and adding supports/wiring and outlets.. its nuts.. a lot of stress and money, much more than i anticipated:irked:

im actually more excited about the fish than the corals.. i may order more rock for the sump and might add more to the tank.

now i have to take care of the pumps since they would be touching the water:tub: :irked:

Great looking setup u got there i would play with the aquascape a bit more to make it look as good as everything else .

cool, any suggestions? maybe a little more caves? idk...

And does anyone know where I can get the stuff (foam) to apply to the center overflow box, maybe make it look more like rock work..

Now, the goal is to have tons of sps so hence the reason for not "too much" rock work

also, if anyone knows of good pumps comparable to the vortechs.. I really dont want to add 4 tunze, but i may have to.. And they must be submergible

Instead of doing a foam wall and 3 islands maybe you can "connect" the right or left island to the overflow with LR. Then when the SPS grow in it looks like one big island and a small island on the side.

PS - Dont mind the horrible photoshop skills I just wanted to sort of show you what I mean.

1. get rid of bioballs, 2. are the vortechs in the overflow? and i feel like the halide directly over the overflow box is somewhat useless

i may get rid of them, but they say that they way i have them in the fuge is ok? not sure?

vortechs were in over flow.. going to get tunze now.. ugh, double the price and more bulky :irked:

the mh over the box will be used for corals i directly mount to the box.. so the box can act as an island

Dont Vortechs have a dry dock so the dry side can mount inside a wet environment?

I have seen tall narrow Tupperware used for this but Im sure there are other items that can work. It would have to be waterproof narrow and tall. Someone could easily make it from Lexan.

nice, any update pics? i would def play around with the rocks a bit more, spread them around and make different islands out of them or some cave work as well.
