Update from Jebao: the controller is available now and is included in the price at no extra charge.

The S1,S2 and S3 are three level of speed:
S1[FONT=??]?[/FONT]Maximal speed
[FONT=??][/FONT]S2[FONT=??]?[/FONT]75% of Maximal speed
[FONT=??][/FONT]S3: 50% Maximal speed

I just added a second Jebao to my 240. I really like the pumps. I was wondering if there are any tricks or mods to make them quieter though. The humming really annoys me.

I just put on my variable supply DC unit and it's GREAT. I can now use the ELSE mode with out real issue- blowing sand.

If you bought from Fish street, they'll send you rubber pieces for the impeller that makes it quieter for $3 to ship.

Same here! Just got my controller the other day and now that I can lower the voltage I"m enjoying the pump a lot more. No more sand storms :thrash:

I tried a few of those PWM dimmers. None worked with the Apex.

you need a Dali to PWM converter, so both PWM dimmer above will not work with Apex.

Coming up on 5 months, no issues.

If you want to use these pumps on a reef controller, I highly recommend the Reef Angel over the Apex. I switched from an Apex to the RA, and with the newest RA update, you can change between Vortech modes and use your own custom modes on their portal webpage at any time, from anywhere.

Looking forward to more input from when members of the latest group buy from here get theirs.

I also recommend not getting the extra variable power supply from fish-street to adjust flow. It is of poor quality and a lot of people are saying it dies quickly. Get the one listed in the OP or a different one off amazon.
