Dyed anemone's are a whole other matter though, isn't their death rate almost 100% when dyed?

deathbydyeing is all about painted fw fish like chanda ranga (the original glass fish), painted albino rainbow sharks,'fruit loop' tetra's, 'jellybean parrots' etc, which have been around at least a decade or two

I did not make this, I don't know who did. I would make my own but a friend gave me his PS7 CD after he got CS. Well I lost the CD before I installed it, and I have Fireworks but I don't know how to use it. But those stats are a bit off. They should say UP to 80% died. I can dig through google again and find were these stats are. And if you buy dyed fish your a idiot because the dye will fade in a few months. No I'm not some PETA hippie. I LOVE TO EAT MEAT!!!!!! I don't know about the 97% thing, but I would say its more about 80% Some fish you can't really tell. Beside its cruel, some methods do not use needles, some are dipped in a caustic solution to remove their slime coat, then they are dipped in a dye and then dipped in a solution that irritates their skin to produce a slime coat.

where do you have proof of this?

i've sold and cared for, from the moment of arrival to the airport from the growers/exporters, to the moment of sale, and longer, thousands upon thousands of dyed and non dyed 'flavors' of all of the species that are dyed in the trade

they('painteds') are absolutely and unequivocably every bit as healthy, or sensitive, as their 'regular' counterparts

i've seen tens of cutomers w/jellybean parrots that have spawned repeatedly


do you know what a jellybean parrot is? :wink:

how many hundreds of any of those species have you, or any of the authors of those links. either sold or cared for, long term, or short term ?

do you know what 'caustic' means ?

i highly doubt any fish could survive for more than a few seconds in anything that would be described as even mildly caustic ! (for the most part, you or i wouldn't last too long, either :wink: )

where did all those painted fish from the caustic baths come from ? was their flesh re-attached to them as well ?

please don't take any of this as a personal attack, it's your methods of , and beliefs about,spreading misinformation i'm attacking, not you as a person

Sorry, I have been a little sensitive after my friend of 6 years nearly died of alcohol poisoning(as well as being well below the legal age limit) then started smoking pot.
