Yeah I'm with Rich, she could be a vindictive ex-gf/wife that was spurned by him and is trying to do anything in her power to destroy the man, doesn't make any of the "charges" any less true.

I think next time I have a tank problem, I will call the police as well. Surely it couldn't be something I forgot to do/fix/maintain - someone is out to get me!
I think that the site creator's purpose is clearly stated on the website... and to gossip about any other possible motives is only an attempt to distract from the material presented.
It's always easier and more fun to talk about the drama and politics of the messenger than to have the discipline to sit down, read the material, and actually come up with something worthwhile to say about the actual issue or project. I know I've fallen into the drama trap many times myself, but I try to stay above it and focus on what's important... and what's important is what happened to these hundreds of pounds of protected Florida corals.

I say everyone should give him the benefit of the doubt. People who import and export corals have lost 50X times the amount of coral than Eric B's mishave.
Have you ever worked at a LFS? Have you seen how corals are actually shipped? Do you think everything that comes to a LFS lives? Or even the stuff being shipped is alive in the box before it gets to the store?
I seen the darkside. I know what 12 inch dead wild acros look like. The dark side is very dark and I have only seen just a fraction of it.
Can you imagen the amount of coral is imported to the US and around the world? On average I see about 4 deaths (as a result of poor shipping/handling) per shipment. Now figure out the amount of stores that import weekly. Thats just corals, can you imagen fish? Need I say more?
Atleast Borneman is trying to protect the enviroment by collecting corals to gain a better understanding of them. He might have made some mistakes, but "the first one without sin, cast the first stone."
What Borneman did is just a drop in the bucket. I wish people would get off the man's back.
