what variety of eggs are they?

they are dayglow orange, I'm not sure what species they are.

I am an authority on sushi as well as everything reef lol. The larger of the 2 types of sushi roe available are from salmon and the small almost pinpoint size eggs are flying fish roe. They are both day glow orange. However, I have no idea what it would do to your fish.

if they are little guys they could be either flying fish roe (tobiko) or capelin/smeltfish roe (masago), i think they look about the same in their natural state

I have been feeding my fish these egss for the past year. Don't see any negative impact yet, and my fishes love them like crazy.

the consistency you described sounds like they were frozen.

Eggs are tasty so the fish likes them. I would use it as a fun treat instead of constant food. If you research a little on the composition of it(deano chime in for the composition link), you will find out it contains a lot more cholestro than krill and less protein than krill. I would rather use my home made krill as day to day food.

Hey all,

I like to use the exact same fish eggs too 2 or 3 times a week. I usually mix them with other foods (mysis, prime reef, form 1, cyclopeeze and laver) to provide a balance. I would definitely not use them as a staple but when I get new fish I find that a little extra fat in a tasty package seems to help them get comfortable.

Sure it will. You can also notice frys would start earlier to feed if youu entice them with boiled egg yoke (but careful here, it could foul your water) than most other food suggested by commercial fish food companies.
