Guys:

I am getting a group buy together for reef addicts in Queens. If you are interested in quality SPS, LPS and ric, please see http://www.midwestreefs.com.

I had the pleasure dealing with Steve for my LIRA club group buy a few times and everything worked out very well. Steve was attentive, supportive with great customer support not to mention quality live stock and they are all excellently priced.

If interested, please see what you like on the site then email Steve ([email protected]) telling him you are with Andrew's group buy. We are getting free shipping. Corals will be deliver to my house in Elmhurst and we will each Paypal Steve for the corals we purchased.

I would like to place the order by next Monday, if you are interested, please reply to the thread.

I live in Astoria and I'm still fairly new to the reef hobby but love it.I hate it when they charge for the box.Not fair.Nice prices but 39.95 for shipping. Not too bad but are the pieces big?I would like to join.

This is Steve with Midwest Reefs and I apologize for chiming in on your alls thread like this, but I wanted to thank everyone for their business! It was a pleasure working with all of you and I appreciate your business very much.

James, regarding your blastos, I've tried emailing you several times but for whatever reason those emails have been bounced back to me due to an error. Below I am posting the original photo of the blastos which is also located on page three of this thread. I have included arrows as well.

Even with photos, descriptions, etc., I understand that things still don't always arrive as the customer expected. And I don't burn people. So if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase simply just let me know and your money will be refunded immediately and I sincerely apologize for your inconvenience.

If there's any other problems or questions, please do not ever hesitate to contact me anytime. I will be more than happy to take care of the problem and answer any questions that I can be of help with.

Thanks,
Steve Hicks

but that's just me... :)

Not true in my case. My blastos are pretty close to what was on their website. The difference you see is the lighting and the camera. Also, don't forget, our pics are post traumatic-shipping. Jim's blastos were closed when I saw them, so I can't speak on their coloration compared to the website's. His complaint deals with dead spots.

Dean

p.s. Speaking of colors, send me some pics of the corals I sold you. I'd be interested to see them in another tank.

Response for Steve

Steve,

Thanks for reaching out - not sure why I am not getting the emails - it may be the redirect from the sight.

Please note, that I am not placing blame, I am partially to blame for not seeing this in the frist place - kinda pissed at myself since I do know better. Another reason why I said "nice otherwise" no harm no foul - certainly not trying to flame you guys in any way -

Since my tank is healthy, I am sure they will multiply - and if you notice in my pic there is a baby pusing out at the base of the polyp with the first arrow.

perhaps on a future order, you can just throw me a bone ;-)

The pipe organ, though rocks - here is a pic in the same frag tank

Jim

Hi Jim,

If you want to do something on a future order that would be fine. I would be more than happy to throw in an extra for you, or however you wish to handle it. Whatever works for you, works fine for me. :) Thank you for your reply, I'm glad we could get this worked out!

Thanks,
Steve
