Hi all,

I just wondered if anything ever materialized regarding the possibility of an "Industry Meeting" at MACNA?

It seems many were interested but nobody has come forward to organize it. There is still time. So who'll take this on?

Why not Jamie? He's got the knowledge and he knows exactly what is going on in PI. Dang, he's even been a speaker at MACNA, so he knows the ropes.

How about it Jamie? Do you have the time or want to put some effort into this?

All,

I am sure that MAC will be having meetings during the Macna conference. Similar issues that have been brought to light by Naesco can and should be discussed during such meetings.

Anyone interested in these discussions should contact MAC for details. Get involved in a POSITIVE way that will help keep the industry moving forward to reach it's goals.

I hope to see a great turnout in Louisville as the last conference there was a huge success and it would be great to see a two-peat! So make your travel plans and get ready for a great weekend.

Best regards,

Eric

Eric,

It will be a three-peat for LMAS. They have hosted MACNA twice before. I should know...I've been to every MACNA

See you there!

Thanks John.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone there. It's not only a great learning weekend, but quite the social event as well. Late night talkathons with good people from all over the country...talking fish over a few beers sounds like a pretty sweet way to spend the weekend!

Regards,

Eric

So who will be at MACNA?

Anybody going? :D

As you know, I *probably* will be.

Nancy and all,

Do you think we really need a formal room, or will informal meetings be enough? Does anyone really want to have a formal agenda?
I'd be interested in helping organize things, but I do not have the time to be the point person beforehand...

Regards.

Mike,

Ask the folks here what they'd like. ;) As Eric of SDC suggested, a formal meeting may not be necessary at all but it might be nice to have a place to gather and brainstorm AFTER the MAC talks.

A "breakout" room has been assigned to AMDA for the entire weekend. Maybe something can be worked out with them. However, at this point they've not registered yet so they risk losing the space.

I just registered today. I don't see a problem with sharing AMDA's room with reform minded people. I will ask the BOD if it's ok.

What I hope about MACNA, et all, is that some of you will write excerpts/articles and take pic's, so that those of us who can not be there, will have access to the happenings etc.
As a little shop with just me to take care of it, I cant leave, but still want the information !!!!!!! And I am sure many others are in my boat also.

LMAS has confirmed that AMDA and MASNA will have separate rooms across from each other on the floor above the Seminar/Exhibit level. MAC will have use of MASNA's room from Friday afternoon thru Sunday.

I mention this as a reminder that MASNA's Annual Meeting & Elections will be held on Friday morning at 9:00 AM. We'd like to encourage any and all with a desire to "get involved" to join and consider running for office. Details are posted at http://www.masna.org/elections2003/elections2003.htm

And this is my final "subtle hint". ;)

Another reminder:

Pea shooters and smoke bombs are strictly prohibited. We don't want to see hotel guests getting hurt while the MAC/Anti-MAC groups hole up and take pot shots at each other from across the hallway.

Announcement: Saturday morning contest

We have agreed to let Steve and Paul each have one super-soaker and one gallon of salt water to have at each other. Whomever loses must provide the net-collectors of the Philippines an ample supply of professional barrier netting for the next five years. Judges for the contest will be Jaime, Mitch and Nancy.

{If only it were true, I'd pay good money to see this...}
Regards.
