The fishermen's pockets. The wholesaler in Cebu was paying them more for the MAC fish than the MAC-certified wholesalers were. No one ever said that MAC certified collectors got locked in to selling only to MAC certified exporters. Bully to them! They got paid more for their fish. For me and you and everyone else (except MAC), that is a GOOD thing.

I've got a lot more to write, but I think I will save most of it for articles as they will get more readership than this forum and will have a bit more of an impact. Maybe.

do you actually read the posts here ?

to put the situation another way....

MAC proffessed to set up a supply chain to obtain higher quality fish for their distributor/exporters,pay the fishermen more money (they even suggested a 'tax' placed on the fish that would be paid by the hobbyists at the final p.o.s.) and the fishermen got better pay FROM SOMEONE ELSE for their stock.(even though they were 'mac certified')


i think it makes mac look sublimely stupid (in the sense of sublime being way beyond profound)


part of the certification is paid for, btw, by retailers here in the US,via their stickers, so why are they(fishermen) getting paid higher to go to europe, to NON MAC exporters ?

i honestly don't think it's an issue of not getting it

i think it's an issue of not doing your research properly, especially given your stated objectives

as someone else alluded to before, you've decided to take on a very serious issue, and are going about it, or appear to be going about it, in a very non-serious fashion, which will lead anyone to not take you seriously
