  1. A plumbing question... simple i hope!

I dont see why rigid PVC would get clogged any more than Flex pipe.
  2. Pet Warehouse...disgusted!

IF you file a complaint with your Credit Card Company, the company you bought from could get fined. Anytime you have a complaint on a purchase, your first call should be your CC company. Most businesses will bend over backwards trying to get things right because the fine can be higher than the...
  3. simple sump

Of course if you do that, and the powerhead in the sump quits for some reason, you will overflow the sump and, if your not home, turn your living room (or whatever room you have the tank in) into a water garden
  4. Anyone ever order from saltwaterfish.com?

I have ordered from them a couple times. I have never had any problems and everything looks very good. This is just my experience. You may want to check out the Vendor Feedback section on Reef Central. You can get reviews from several people there.
  5. knobs on cpr aquafuge?

I forgot about the small one. The large one is the ball valve. When it is vertical, it is open, when it is horizontal, it is closed. I have no clue about the small one, I have never used it. It looks like a place to connect an air line for air injection. It has no use on the aquafuge
  6. knobs on cpr aquafuge?

  7. southdown sand-should it be washed?

If you use PVC, remember to drill holes in it. This way you wont have Dead space inside the PVC. this will allow your sandbed critters inside to keep it stirred up and clean
  8. phosphates are 0.2 still have brown growth?

just a thought, if you are using distilled water, you may want to check the phosphate level in that.
  9. 75 or 90 gal?

since the footprint on those 2 tanks are the same, the only consideration would be cost. Keep in mind that becuase the 90 is deeper, you may need higher intensity lights. If you use MH lights, the 175w would be fine on a 75, but you would need the 250w on the 90. Just my opinion David
  10. Refugium questions... Please help :)

Please keep in mind that the CPR refugium hangs on your tank. If you light it at night, it will light up your tank. I have heard that some cover the refugium with something to keep the light from getting into the main tank. FWIW, the CPR refugium is kind of a pain to use. It is only about...
  11. Which Substrate?

www.purearagonite.com I think you will like their prices.
  12. Sumpgestions please!

One thing that is necessary is, if you have an in-sump skimmer, you want a section that has a constant water level
  13. ID Help

Tonight I noticed a couple other rocks that are starting to get this stuff.
  14. ID Help

I dont have a camera, so I hope my description works. I have a piece of rock that has a patch of 50 or 60 green things growing out of it. They kind of resemble the end of a Q-tip, but they are a bright flourescent green (Chartruese if you are a fisherman!) The base of these are white. They...
