so it might be time for me to spend some of my hard earned money on my tank. I am thinking about a nano powerhead and may try a clip on fan to keep temp down. if I don't leave the air conditioner on I feel the water may be getting too warm. Also a trip to home depot to pick up a container that I can store rodi water in. I have been looking at units and I think I can score one for under 100$. I know you guys have offered some free beginner frags, but I'd feel better giving you guys something in exchange. Anyone in SI or over the bridge in BK name your price! As always input\suggestions are welcome

Yes. Have my 30 long planted fw for over a year now. Amazing how much easier it us to keep haha. I can sit between both tanks and look back n forth for hours.

Haha. As for now I'm very happy with my fw tank. Possibly because I've put more time and effort into it. Tomorrow I am going to start with my first frags. Done research and have a good idea of what I can and can't grow. I added another HOB filter for better filtration and water movement. I noticed tons of LFS are having nice sales this weekend so I'll be looking for some equipment. If any of you guys have beginner corals you can donate to my cause I'd appreciate it. Dont want to spend $ on something I'm not sure of. If you guys can offer something please pm me. Be sure to include your favorite beer, hint hint ....

Added a few beginner corals.. next question is how many hours a day should I run my white leds. As of now I just run the blue from 830p to 1030 p.

you can run your blues little longer 1 hour less than the whites

As of now I'm doing 1030am to 830pm whites. 830pm to 1030pm blues. ... I should extend blues?

12:30pm blue on
2:00pm white on
7:00pm white off
8:30pm blue off

Have your blues come on 1 hour before and stay on 1 hour after your whites.
