Update just ordered new xpg and xpe LEDs to replace the xre LEDs that are over my tank now. From everything that I have read the new xpg and xpe are more efficient and more powerful then the xre. Hopefully I notice a difference. Almost 2 years with the xre leds and they were worth every penny.

NOTE: I have only replaced 10 cool whites and 10 royal blues on this heatsink. I have 3 heatsinks with 40 leds each.
the comparison you are seeing is with the new xpg and xpe leds in the front row... and wow you can really tell a difference.
pics are taking with iphone and with the leds drivers just powered on. I have 2 hlg 240 drivers so these are only on right now at
10%.

in this bottom pic you can really see the intensity of the new xpg/xpe versus the xre. amazing how much duller the xre
look.

BTW, I ordered Wingo's LEDs, I should have them within the next two weeks. I can barely contain my excitement. I had picked up a DIY LED from another member for my 20 gallon. Once hubby saw the anemones' color he was convinced, so we ordered 4 of Wingo's..
