So I'm beginning to ponder what time of fish/inverts I want to go with in this tank. I was thinking a sohal (i kid i kid)..but seriously what type of fish would you guys go with?

Definitely want a shrimp, some hermits to add a little movement to the tank aside from the fish.

Keep in mind the tank is open top, has 1inch sandbed and is only 7.5 gallons.

Have a Par 38 bulb on the way, can't wait to get it.

For coral stocking:
All Blue Stag towards the back on the tank, at the highest point on the rock.
All other SPS will be millis/prostratas, just 4-5 different types (definitely want the Red table)
For some movement and color, I'm thinking different types of zoas.

Just need a fish...

I changed 1-2 gallons a week with my 8g...using those gallon containers as indicators.

Not sure how you'll measure out exactly 0.75 gallons, homes.

Update:

So the Par 38 arrived a couple weeks ago and I love the thing. It's got great color and I can't wait to see how corals will do under this light.

Tank is losing some of that brown crap. I'm going my second 2gal (33%) water change today, maybe even 2.5 gallons.

The mangroves are starting to show great signs of growth, have a new set of leaves opening on 6 of the 7 I have.

Hopefully another 3 weeks and I'll be completely through the cycle and starting to stock.

I'm thinking of getting http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+38+2989&pcatid=2989 as my fish...but want feedback from you guys first. It would be the only fish and thought it would be alright since he'll probably be sticking the rockwork msot of his life.

Pics later.

So I've done 3 water changes so far and things are looking good. That nasty brown stuff is on it's way out.

Saw a bristle worm, some asterina stars, some large pods, a TON of little pods, worms colonizing the sand, and the marco rock is finally starting to get some color on it.

I'm thinking the cycle is over, but I'm going to give it another 2-3 weeks to be sure.

Have some sort of monti frag in there, it's doing fine so far. No growth, but no loss of color and polyp extension is great. Been in there about 2 weeks now.

Fish..hmmm
