so if 250's look like 400's using the luminarcs, what do 400's in luminarcs look like? Rich can you post a shot of the tank without the lights showing.
I want to see what the sun looks like on your tank ;)

Jon these shots are pretty close to the actual color of the bulb. It's a pretty blue 10k, actually looks like a real 14k bulb. Nick you must have gotten the older reeflux bulbs which seem to burn more pink from what I have read.

those are reeflux 10ks at 400w? I heard the reefluxs are a weird bulb they mess with the true color and when you move the corals to a system not using the same bulbs they appear browner. Anyone have experience with this or heard the same? I really like the reeflux color but if this is true I'd get something else.

Thanks Kris.

LFSmarineguy, the reeflux make your blues appear to POP. It's not an actual color change but still looks cool. As far as getting corals from under these bulbs......I ran 250w BLV 10k's + VHO's before switching to Reeflux. I would get frags from Tony @ Reef Exotics (using reeflux bulbs). All the corals would have the same if not better colors with the exception of blue corals which always looked better under his bulbs. HTH

was also thinking of getting some of the dual bulb fixtures from sfiligio and maybe blending reeflux with something else. Just wondering if some of the spectrum may cancel each other out or boost it...might have to just try it.

Rich,

You should post the picture as Jesus appearing in the fish tank. I hope not to offend anyone, but you've seen all those crazy story. By the way, your tank looks awesome
