i changed out my nanostream for a mp20 vortec powerhead i was thinking that it may be too much flow even dialed down but it is def. not. i could put this at full speed and my sand bed hardly moves.i was able to create a small wave also.i also changed my bulb to ushio 20k i think this bulb is perfect color. i was at steve's house and saw this bulb and i liked the color. i was also using coral frenzy once or twice a week and i wound up with nasty cyno on the sand bed.

i added a foam/rock background that had been curing for about 3 weeks. it was fairly easy to do. and gave me alot of options for coral placement everything is fine with the tank other than some bubble algea that i am going to just let it run its course.

Bubble algae running it's course usually leads to an infestation of bubble algae.

I read some post on RC about the foam potential causing probmes. Any evidence of that in your research prior to installation?
