Ok I've got some questions...
First, I will admit that I am not an authority on magnets.
If I am not mistaken, we are living on the largest and most powerfull magnet that we (as humans) have access to... The Earth.
Now, granted, we all cannot have our aquariums sitting on the north pole, but so what? Sure, the magnetic field in stronger at the poles since that is where it is generated, or rather eminates. However, considering the size of the magnet, anywhere on the planet would be surrounded by a magneting field stronger than any magnet small enough to fit in an aquarium.
This coupled with the IR emmiting capability of even a standard flourescent bulb should mean that EVERYONE'S tank should be perfect. In fact, there should be no reason for test kits or any form of filtration since the two most important parts of this "uber-filtration" in naturally occuring.
Heck, there should never be a need for water changes! There should never be a crashed aquarium. We all should be able to dump water, salt, rock, sand and any and all animals we want to keep without any problems, if this product does what it claims to do.
Bottom line is that this product attempts to create what already (and has always, BTW) naturally occurs. If nature cannot make this combination of magnatism and IR radiation work, what makes us think that we possibly could?
But, then again, maybe nature does make this work. Maybe the creators of the Eco have discovered the mysterious filter that the ocean uses. All this time we thought it to be a combo of algea, sand, live rock filtration. Of course it could not possibly be that beaches and wave action make the largest protien skimmer in existence. No, it must be the combo of magnetism and IR! How stupid we all have been!
SIGH! More junk to debunk in this hobby... Just what we needed...
