Well, I put saltwater in it today. I got 140 gallons of water from the liverock bins from the store I work at. Brought it to my house in the back of my brother's pick up truck. He was excited to haul something for the first time. He's 17 with a brand new 06 Chevy.

Those last modifications I made yesterday on page 3 are perfect. The T off worked just as I planned it. More flow in differnt places. The nozzels dont feel like jets anymore.

Oh yes, I did mount that fan. I am hoping to see a drop in in my temp. I plan to mount one more.

I did not get any sand today. Did not have time. I will post pictures of that tomorrow.

Just setup the calcium reactor (Korallin 1502), I do not have CO2 yet, I will get that tomorrow. I am feeding my reactor to the refugium (the box on the left) to get rid of excess CO2 and to feed my plants for the refugium.

Oh and the fan mount. I will have another on the leftside also and if need be, one in the middle.

I also got a 10 dollar Honeywell fan for my hood. It can mount to the wall in a way the bottom will be really flush with the wall. I will push my stand back on to the fan. I like this because I will not have to mount it to the hood. They look nice and for 10 dollars it is just what I need. I will get one more, because I got plenty of room for 2.
Walmart?

I am glad to hear your plumbing mods worked out the way you wanted them to. I was going to do the undergravel plumbing the way you did and decided not to for reasons I cant remember. Let us know how you like it when your up and running. Very good looking set up by the way.

Bleeding,

Yes those are from Wal-Mart. I better go pick up one more because there is Tropical Activity going on down in the gulf.

As soon as it is a hurricane, all the fans will sell out. Lol.

As of right now, the fan that I installed last night took the water temp down from 87.5 to 81. I just installed another fan. I hope this will make a difference. I will add a third one if need be. They are pretty silent and $9.98 at Wal-Mart. I hope to see another drop from what I saw from the first fan.

I told you so! The second one might not make as much of an impact as the first, though. But it should be enough without a third one. On another note, just came back from Walmart and they have no fans this small! :? Not even the one I currently have. I might have to hit up some other ones...

Looking good so far!

Good to have expert advice on hand, that's for sure. Plus some of your own of course, from work.

Well I put sand in it just now. That white clump of white in the backwall on the close loop intake is filter socks and sheets.

There some brillo pad algae in the sump. Everything is working fine. I will put rocks in tomorrow.

I took the doors off to watch all my plumbing and view my sump for this part. Its really easy to work with without the doors. They are easy to get on and off because they have a quick disconnect feature on the hinges. Just a put on the clip and a turn of the door, the door hinge comes off.

Got those fans installed. The fans are set on low and my tank runs at 78.

My work in progress. Look at that huge plastic tarp.

I got everything in. Finish that chapter.

Did you cycle the tank?

The tank is pre-cycled. The sand came out of a huge running live rock system system. The sand is live as it is freshly came out of that system. Its nice to have a local LFS that has that resources to do that. Imagen 8 vats of rock and 2 vats of sand all plumbed together. Its those tupperware vats that you see people using as sumps.

The water was from that system too. Everything is cured. The live rock came from my previous system.

I might see a mini-cycle because of the move and I scrubbed off a bunch of sponge and killed some unwanted corals. Xenia, clove, encrusting gorgonians, ect. Just cant handle those anymore.

I will watch my nitrites and nitrates closely.

I get two gallons of evaporation from this beast. I think I will need another fan when I add another 1240 watts of light.

Sigh and maybe a chiller.

I run at a steady 78.
