lol.

I picked up the Blue Jaw today. He was $50. I had $30 in store credit, so a twenty dollah bill was all I had to lay out.

He is acclimated, in the tank, and apprears to be getting along fine with all myh other fish. :D

Louey, go for the Sohal tang

It's on my list. I am going to keep an eye out for a healthy one here at my local LFS's. If I can't find one in a month or so, I'll mail order one. I know my LFS's don't normally stock them, but I might get lucky.

I don't want to add all these fish at once either. Best to add them a few weeks apart.

Hi, my name is WRASSER and Chip, and I want you to get an ugly triggerfish that may or may not eat all your small fish and terrorize the others. One is grey, and the other is dull green. There's another that's brown with some lighter brown mixed in. All will cost you a lot of money.

Okay, hold the phone here. First off, there's more of a chance of a bluejaw eating small fish than a crosshatch or a goldenback or a sargassum. Secondly, I want him to get the crosshatch...the goldenback was a joke. The sargassum is white, and I like it, but not as much as the crosshatch. :P

Thirdly, I know Louey's tastes, and I figured he wanted a rare fish. Hence the crosshatch.

Fourthly, GET LOST, MATT!!!

:P

Peace,

Chip

Actually, I have a taste for rare corals. Fish die, so I don't really like spending big money on them. I was almost ready once to drop $350 for a goldflake angel, but it was a coral nipper and I passed. My Aussie Tusk is the most expensive fish I have ever bought. I think it was right around $100. Maybe $120.

I was more talking about the pink tail there, but now I'm curious...why do you belive a blue jaw is more likely to attack small fish? Same genus, nearly same adult size on all 3.

www.fishbase.org says the sargassum trigger feeds on crabs and small sea urchins. 8O

When did I recommend the pinktail? I told Louey to NOT get it. :P

Do the admins have optical exams covered on their health insurance? ;)

The bluejaw is going great. He is out swimming around and he likes to swim right up to the glass in front of me when I approach the tank.

He does get spooked when I dump food in, so I overfeed a bit to make sure he gets enough to sustain himself. He should start associating me with food soon. In the mean time, my bubble king will have to work overtime!

I snapped a picture of my Bluejaw Trigger tonight.

(I don't know why Len thinks taking pictures is so hard :P)
