I used live fine white sand that i bought at lfs in my edge because personally I like the look of it. If you position your powerhead appropriately you won't get any disturbance to it..
Plus I've heard stories about crushed coral absorbing nitrates..

okay okay FINALLY got the tank up and running haha. Sorry guys thanks for being so patient. Tank is cloudy as hell hoping by the time I come home from work tonight the water is cleared up a bit. I got 7.5 pounds of live rock (one small one big piece) and the big piece was BEAUTIFUL had a lot of crevices and a nice flat bottom with just the right amount of shape but 3 little edges were bulging out stopping me from getting it into the tank opening. I hammered off 2 ends and went to do the 3rd and BOOM it cracked into 3 giant pieces and a bunch of small pieces but it still looks good got a nice rock scape so far. I'm gonna play around with it more until I'm completely satisfied.

this is the sand I went with...

I can't aquascape to save my life guys! I think I FINALLY got a setup I like but I'm gonna sleep on it. Tank clouded up a bit from moving the rocks around for the 5th time but I'll take some pics in the morning when the water is clear again.

With some hints tips and advice from Vinny AKA edge2011, I modded my bracket to raise the height of the light I bought from Wingo. All I can say is wow what a difference it makes!!! Just raising it an inch or so covers so much more of the tank and I'm finally getting that shimmer I wanted especially with the blue moonlights. Here are some pictures of the new setup. Basically, I just cut off the bottom half of the bracket half way down. I can also add more water to the tank reducing the amount of bubbles tremendously.
