well, there's a great chance the fish with the ich infected rock will now get ich. I thought all the fish were sold.

the rock, tank, sand, everything must lie fallow, ie NO fish, for at least 8 weeks. that will make sure the ich dies with nothing to host on.
I thought this explained

I would take the rock and stick it in a bucket with tank water and a powerhead. let it sit there in the dark and the ich will die. do a water change on the rock bucket every 2 weeks. after 8 weeks put it in the tank and let it cycle.

what fish are in the tank with the rock? they will need a biological filter to keep them alive and healthy.

Z, the difference between selling the fish that had ich, and putting new fish in the tank with ich living in it still.
is that what happened or did you not explain something correctly?

ok, let me take a crack at this.

1st of all. take all your fishes wherever they r now.
put them all in a quarantine tank by themselves. anything else u put into it will NOT be going into your display tank.

now keep them in there for at least 6 weeks n read this twice

everything else u can keep in your display tank as long as they dont have fins. thats it. i'll c u in 6 wks.
