bump why is my ammonia stuck at .50 ppm for 2 weeks already? You should have seen a build up of ammonia, then it start to drop and then nitrites start to go up. What are your Nitrites at?

The problem could be the kit that you're using. What and how old is you ammonia kit?

i got my refractometer today and my led light , pic will be on tomm
guess what!!! my hydometer was .006 off
hydrometer : 1.024
refractometer : 1.030

i dont have no life in the tank but do u guys think my tank was establishing during this time?

Nice..yeah those hydrometers suck ...what LEDs did you get?

Do a full test of all your levels(ammonia,nitrite,nitrate). After do water change with about 1.022sg that should drop your salt some.

yea this thing is huge i cant fit another one even a smaller one because it a half circle i think i will just have sponges and shrooms on the sides... also im planning on reduing the rock work tomoorrow and a 20 percent water change, if my levels will check out at 0, will get a fishie! =]

Btw. Watch out, those Ecorays can be deadly. They put out a tremendous amount of light. And it already looks like one is enough. What you can do. Try setting up coral, that like less light, in those darker areas of the tank.
