Kris,

Do you plan to take the entire canopy off when you need to work on the tank? If so, I think you can lower the MH a few inches in a week or two. you will get more light into the tank that way. You can also lower and move the VHO towards the front some since it is blocking the MH right now.

Looks great!!

Thanks Pierce :D

When I'm working in the tank I think I'll just screw out the VHO and it should give me more than enough room unless I have to take out rocks or something larger from the tank. The MH sits about a foot off of the water right now. I will probably try to get it a little lower in a couple of weeks.

The VHO however is as far to the front as I can get it. I was trying to figure out if it blocking any of the light from the MH but can't. I'll try to figure out a way to see that tonight. I can however lower the VHO and that would probably block less light from the MH than it is block now.

What I did with the VHO since the URI have one side dark( maybe its that internal reflector thing) I angled the bulb so that the dark side is facing somewhere between the top of the canopy and the front door, so that way all the light goes into the tank.

Thanks again.

LoL. I got the idea of gluing stuff to the walls from Kasei, it looks cool in his tank. Most of the stuff SPS wise in my tank is from Kasei.

The third picture still remains my favorite SPS.

Wonder how a cap would look all grown out on the glass? hmmmm...ideas...ideas

That's true. I could imagine a huge monti shading out everything and then falling of the wall.

Think these corals will encrust on the wall?

I've got the tinyest purple rim cap frag. This thing is only 1/4 inch x 1/4 inch. Has like 4-5 total polyps. When I glued it onto the rock at first it didn't look good. Now the color is back and I'm just hoping for some growth.

Kris,

You should think about getting Rich's 65g with the tank stand and hood . He is selling it dirt cheap. $150. But if you bribe him with a frag he might go lower.. ;)

Tank is looking good. When that blue one grows out I will trade frags with you.

Kasei,
Never read this last post. Of course we could trade. :D

Just a little update on the tank. The tank is actually packed, packed packed packed. Everything is looking good and growth is slow but still good for now. It's running skimmerless right now so I'm doing those big weekly water changes to keep up water quality til i get my skimmer. Can't wait to get the 65g up and running.

My frags keep getting knocked over by the #%#$ hermits so no I have a bleached spot on my monti..argh..was doing so good. :(

Will post some new pics of it in a few.

He's only about 1 inch long so hes a really tiny guy. Trying to get some pics of him in the tank but hes so shy.
