yeah i stopped shopping there too probably after the tank was up for 3 months. bought everything else from the kissena blvd store, Manhattan Aquariums, and from here on the forum. The only thing I went back there for was the 2 part calcium buffer only because the kissena blvd store only had the small bottles. but what am i talking about? i didnt even mention the store name where i got my tank!

i think small claims court covers up to $2000.00,

many NY counties will accept $5000 small claims...

the receipt just says 90 gallon cornerflow black. i guess they assumed it was a deep blue tank because the stand is from deep blue. some items on the receipt dont have the brand name on it.

Don't give them the benefit of the doubt. They absolutely know exactly what tank they sell each and every person.

we'll see what happens today, they were supposed to get back to me yesterday but the owner wasnt in.

Ok cool, just don't let them try to tell you they thought it was this or that, they knew. They have to peel the company label off every tank they get in and display. If they agree to replace the tank with another "deep blue" make sure they show you the label on the tank that the company puts on it and deliver it with the sticker on it.

The sticker is on the front panels, make sure when they bring the new tank its on. It's easy enough to remove with a clean razor blade. This way you're 100% sure of what tank you have

will do.. thanks for the advice.. if they do give me a new deep blue tank all of it is going on sale anyway.. tank stand and sump.. im gonna use this mess as an opportunity to upgrade..

UPDATE - Spoke to the LFS and right off the bat they said that it's not a Deep Blue Tank. It's a Perfecto and it's being sent to them now. I guess this is going to be delayed until next week. UGHHHHHH...

At least they are been honest, not trying push of responsibility. But i thougth it won't be too hard to distinguish a deep blue tank....oh well.....
If you really can't wait and you want to upgrade anyway, get your next tank and sell your replacement tank It's a pain in the ass. Good luck!

They should just give u a new setup. With all this shipping from one place to another picking it from your place too is it worth it to them. Then at the end they might say no luck it's not covered.

Is it just me? It seems that if things go sour for you, they have the tank and you have nothing to show for it if you end up in court.

UPDATE - LFS will know by Tuesday. I also copied and pasted my email to Deep BLue and sent it now to Marineland. Received an email from them today saying someone from the aquarium division will be contacting me today or tomorrow.
