lets just do it this one time, as a trial run. You dont know how it will work until you actually do it, so lets just have no cap, and the only rules being that you have to have pics and a dated log.
If the need arises for rules, we will know after this. And I agree with Bethany, we should do this on a yearly basis. Would be really cool.

'recon it would be a good idea for another forum in the index called like "Annual RDO buildoff"? We could use different threads as a log for people, since most of us are on here everyday anyways. Just make all the participant's threads stickies in the forum. If people have questions about something they can post them.

I agree with the picture taking idea..
I think we should set up our tanks, and take pics from Day One. Then another pic on Day 7, then another pic on Day 14...one pic per week, taken from the same angle so we recognize everything as it grows.
We could all post our pics weekly in a special Sticky, so we can ALL check each others progress as things go.
I find this would be fair, we could learn from other peoples experiences as we go...discuss each others tanks, say, whatever DID Podman do to get that nasty algae bloom last week? OH MY!

but this also proves a point that unlimited funds to stock a tank is a little unfair, because I would never be able to afford to have 4 clams all at the same time. A tank like this would destroy any that I would put together at the moment because I would not have the money to stock it like that.

I am by no means trying to demerit your abilities. I am simply trying to prove a point. Not that it matters anyways because Im still in regardless of rules, I just want to play.

I do think that weekly pictures needs to be mandatory though. It'll be a lot more fun if we can see all the tanks maturing weekly.
