im not the only one that wasnt asked to vote.... but i thought it was stated that all moderators were asked.. so getting back to hypocrisy and the one sided victory !

This is the way i see things, ronen has been constantly aimed at to get banned from the site or to make him leave.. both ronen and jim are buddys (when **** hits the fan im going to do what is right...) By banning ronen it Gives the other vendors more room to make more money with one less great vendor on the site.. but what do i know....

Also what kind of bullshit is that you can not use profanity in a PM. What are we 5 and cant take profanity or insults.. As previously stated this thread was created for all the wrong reasons ... sad to say im in an upset with the site and have been for a while (thats why most of you guys have not seen me on)..

I am sure all will be worked out in the end. After all is said and done I am sure things will be fine. Lets stop the personal attacks at each other and at other vendors and let the mods work this out with Ronen and then we can get back to normal. Whatever the outcome MR is still the best reefing site around hands down. Ronen I hope all works out you you my friend.

Maybe the thread was created for the wrong reason in some peoples opinion maybe it was created for the right reasons in others opinions. Who knows, instead of assuming right wrong or indifferent why not just ask?

You can use all the profanity you want in a PM, but to constantly attack every single mod that was trying to help?

People sell.

Make the right decisions, protect your vendors and users. Protect the people who keep this site running

Amend your rules. Make sure that Mods are not vendors.
Dont allow your mods to say its ok to allow users to under sell vendors.
If a user pm's the vendors buyers and tells him the vendor is ass? A mass private messages?


Its time for a change..
Its time to keep your users happy. or its just the begining of the end -as many members are already leaving and mods are starting to follow.

I'm pretty new here and have met alot of good people! I met Ronen, went to his apt to pick up corals and have never heard heard him say a bad thing about anyone. In fact I've seen him give referals to members for products and services for other vendors on the site. It's not all about the money for him, at least it seems that way, by his actions, which means more to me than words!!! This is a geniune individual!! For him to act up something is wrong!! Hey when a fight breaks out on the street and the cops come, everybody goes, and they figure it out at the station. How come Ronen is the only one gettin it? What about the people who instigate? Like I said b4, alot of good people and great help, I hope it stays that way.

That would be the members, and in order to protect the group we need moderation. And someone who cannot and will not treat ANY of the moderators with respect doesn't have much future here.

I hear you and recognize your points. However, I am not aware of mass private messages or this underselling you mention. I asked for an explanation and got the same negative responses that everyone else was getting.

If there was a calm and civil discourse on what happened then this could have been avoided.

How does a member get banned? Basically all of the moderators voice their opinion as an informal vote.

Josh, I think you guys really need to have specific rules that govern the site and then specific consquences when you break those rules. I don't think getting a mod consensus is a good way to go about things. That way if the rules are broken its out of the mods hands. The mods shouldn't really be there to decide the rules but just enforce them.


I really really think you guys should get rid of those vendor and mod buttons that some mods and vendors have in the username area. And even get rid of mod and vendor titles in the username area. And there really shouldn't be any for profit advertising in the signature. For example, If your tank thread is in your vendor forum then that shouldn't go there either.

When I first joined MR, I had met, dealt with and had long conversations with about 5 or 6 mods without having any clue they were mods. I mean, it took a while before I found out who the mods were.

It might be a real good idea if mod's and vendors (specifically vendors) have two accounts. One account would be the personal one and the other account would be the vendor account where you could only post in your vendor forum about your products. In a situation like Ronen's you could've just banned his personal account but he could still post for his business stuff.

I agree with most of what salesbig said but I don't think it matters if a mod is a vendor. Also I think its necessary to have a vendor section, that way people know who the vendors are.

Thats one of the main problems. You are not Aware.. you need take more time discussing things with your mods.
Why not ask Jhale and Spykes and reefoman about the ATI bubblemaster thread.
If you dont know anything about it, you should take the time to inquire about that. And I'm sure there is a lot more Im not hearing about.

Time for change.
Take more time finding out about whats going on the site. A once a week meeting with your mods to find out what is going on the site.. THE GOOD AND BAD.

From I and many of the people on here can see.. you have lost more then just a great vendor, A user, a helper and a great friend to people on here.. always going out of his way to help anyone on here.

This is not the only reef site , but as i and many thought a great community, but slowly going down hill.

When someone screws with your business its something you need to expect.. be it good or bad

Joe, there's a difference between cursing in a pm and cursing out the mod who is trying to be of service in that pm.

Not one of the mods would care about curse words in a PM. Say all the four letter words you want. Just don't curse us out when we're trying to help the situation.
