Ronen, can we get some pricing.
Can they give you prices for different sized orders?
That way we could get some firmer numbers.
If we knew how much the cost will be, the people asking for 5-10 buckets could make up thier minds.

I second that.

Example:

More than on-line retail - I won't get any
10% cheaper - I will get 5
20% cheaper - I will get 10.

Albert can explain the economics behind my reasoning:D

Im am trying to beat marine depots prices ,Not easy to beat them sometime .I will have a answer by next week ,and deff answer that is.
Right now i can get it for as low as 8% below online prices ,but want to get better ,and shipping is a big issue. So its not really the price of the salt im worried about its the shipping .Right now ,marine depot is shipping over weight item for $10 each item ,I dont want to go that road
Hope you guys understand the delay.

I just passed this group idea past my regular LFS and he's interested.

He said the Seachem reef salt 160 buckets he would do taking at least 50 units would be $34.87 picked up.

Shipping is possible

The group buy was to be ordered through a vendor on this site, albeit, it's been 20 days without pricing. It's not fair to that vendor, for another vendor to post on this thread. As I said, your LFS is free to start another thread with the offer you posted.

Another example, someone is selling Kenya tree frags for $10, gets 10 people interested. Then another member offers on that post, frags for $5; that's unfair and somewhat unethical.

The thread wasn't started by a company, but was requested by a member. Deepwater (Ronen) stated he is having issues. Why not post a possible solution?

There was no reason to delete the post.

If Ronen is having issues aquiring the salt, which he clearly stated he is... and someone has a possible solution? whats the problem?

LOL...there's no problem, Rich. According the Jhale's original post:

jhale said:
It seems there is enough interest in seachem salt to buy a palette through Ronen and split it up.

I'll let Ronen give the details on pricing.

Seachem Reef Salt
The buy was to occur through Ronen. No open "offer" was made.

If divedeeper's LFS, posts a sale on Seachem salt in the Vendor Sales forum, it looks like there's over 50 buckets ready to be snapped up by the interested members of this thread. I have suggested that "solution" several times now.
